Setting Up Workgroup
Things to pay attention to besides basic info.
Proposer
Proposers are members who have the right to initiate a proposal in this workgroup. For example, a member of "Developer" workgroup may not have the right to raise a proposal in the "Treasury" workgroup.
Voter
Voty is a community management system based on DID, which means, member's identity. Therefore, different members in this workgroup may have different voting weight. For example, the leader of this workgroup may have more voting weight than his fellow teammates. We recommend that you categorise your workgroup members into different voter groups, and assign different voting weight to them. Note: If a member have multiple occurence in voter groups, the greatest voting weight will be granted to him.
Proposal Rules
Rules define how proposals are voted in this workgroup. Announcing phase means how long proposals are listed in the workgroup, but can yet to be voted on. We need this feature to ensure that all the members are aware of the proposal before they can vote on it. Voting phase defines how long a proposal can be voted on. For example, there are some proposals we want to receive the greatest awareness, and we can set this phase a longer duration. Criteria for approval details how proposal are passed in this workgroup. We know that different communities have different voting mechanics, so we decide to let different workgroups choose how proposals are passed in their own community. We recommend you to briefly write them down before setting up the workgroup, to let the mass community have a same understanding.
Permission Control
Only the importer of the community can set up workgroup. Once the workgroup's proposer and voter are set, the corresponding members will be able to raise and vote on proposals as per the workgroup's settings.
