Configuring Topic Grants
Use Topic Grants to help streamline Grant Initiation process.
Topic Grant is essentially grants that are revolved around certain given topics. We want to use this new feature to make treasury funds flow more transparent and organic.
We categorize these funds flow into three parts: Workgroup requesting adhoc work compensation; Community members requesting incentives for their good ideas/proposals; and Community organizers gathering good proposals for certain topics.
Permission Control
A community's Topic Grant can only be set by the community importer. Once the Grant is set, everyone who is a member of this community (holder of the SubDID of this community) will be able to submit a proposal in the Grant.
Adding a Topic Grant
When adding a Topic Grant, it is always a good practice to briefly introduce the purpose of this grant in the Grant Name and Description section. A well documented grant will attract more people to raise proposals and apply for the grant.
Three Phases
Announcing phase means how long this Grant is published, but not yet to receive any proposal.
Proposing phase means the time duration that this grant receive proposals.
Voting phase means the time duration that this grant is closed for new proposals, and is open for all community members to vote on proposals.
